Viviene Erma Nelson Miller left her earthly home on August 30, 1998, taken from us through the ravages of heart disease and diabetes.

She was born the third child of Alfred Ernest Nelson and Viviene Laverne Fisher on February 29, 1924. She married Kenneth Earl Miller on March 10, 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.She is survived by her husband, Ken; and their children, Sandra (Sheldon) Spencer, Kenneth Lee (Laura) Miller, and Steven Gene (Sharon) Miller; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Helen) Nelson; sister, Bernice (Bill) Etringer; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by her parents; and older brother, LaVar Ernest (Peggy) Nelson.

Viviene was loved by the youth of the church, serving for many years in callings in the young women organization and in the Relief Society. Member of the D.U.P. Her talents for cooking were shared with all as she directed ward dinners and parties galore. Her sewing handwork is treasured by granddaughters and friends alike.

We celebrate her life with a viewing to be held on Wednesday September 2, 1998 from 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. Funeral service will be held Thursday 12 noon at the Mortuary where friends may call Thursday from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.

The family expresses sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Cottonwood Hospital for their tireless effort to care for this sweet soul. She will be sorely missed in our lives.
