Brigham Young University's Museum of Peoples and Cultures will host a reception on Friday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to celebrate the opening of its new exhibition.

The new student-curated exhibit is called "Common Threads: Weaving Cultural Identity," and highlights textiles and woven goods from Peru, Guatemala, India, Polynesia and the American Southwest.The reception will take place at the Museum of Peoples and Cultures, 100 E. 700 North in Provo.
