Technology fair to showcase items for visually impaired

Vision loss need not be as frightening or debilitating as it once was, thanks to many of the technological advances highlighted at an upcoming technology fair in Ogden.

The Ogden Association of the Blind is sponsoring the fair, to be held Sept. 12 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind, 742 Harrison Boulevard.Some of the products to be demonstrated include adaptive equipment for the visually impaired, electronic/video magnifiers to help with reading and writing, Braille note takers, and speech and computer screen magnification software for computer users.
