The Choral Arts Society of Utah, with music director Sterling Poulson and associate music director Russel Brown, will join the Phoenix Jazz and Swing Band and the Craig Larson Trio for an evening of music ranging from golden oldies of the Roaring `20s to modern jazz.
Titled "Sentimental Journey," the repertoire includes "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "That Cat Is High" and "Birdland," featuring swinging jazz, big-band arrangements - a la Glen Miller - and vocalist Mrylene Korologos on such songs as "The Lady Is a Tramp."
The concert is tonight in the Cottonwood High School auditorium, 6935 S. State, Midvale, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person or $30 for a family of six, and are available at the door. For further information, phone 363-9708 or 278-7332.
