Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel head up the list of 15 nominees for induction next year into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
McCartney is already in the hall as a member of the Beatles. If he winds up on the inductees' list this time, it will be for his solo work.Springsteen was nominated without his old backup group, the E Street Band, because he released his 1973 debut album "Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J." as a solo artist.
