A delegation of top Chinese economic development officials will be in Utah next week looking for companies that want to invest in China.
Yu Xiongsong, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, will speak at the Utah-China Business Luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the Little America Hotel, 500 S. Main Street in Salt Lake City.Xiongsong is China's equivalent of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.
Utah's International Business Development Office is inviting all interested business officials to attend the seminar, which will feature a look at China's economy and financial situation and the incentives and preferential policies being offered for foreign investment.
After the seminar, Utah business owners interested in learning more may meet with Chinese officials in one-on-one workshops from 2-3 p.m.
