Vera Elaine "Gram" Neve Horne, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and very best friend, passed away at the age of 82 on September 5, 1998, of natural causes at her home in Salt Lake City.
She was born January 11, 1916, to Joseph Child and Maude Evans Neve in Salt Lake City. Married Douglas Alfred Horne on December 31, 1936, in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1986. Mom and Dad spent many happy times together with family and friends at their cabin in Vivian Park in Provo Canyon. She loved playing bingo with her friends.She is survived by four children; Patricia (Ron) Loveless, Joseph (Pat) Horne, David (Robyn) Horne, all of Salt Lake, and Robert Horne of Grants Pass, Oregon; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 9, 1998, 11 a.m., at Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East. Friends and family may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m., and at Larkin Sunset Gardens Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
