Harold "Tarz" Herman, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and good friend passed away Sept. 17, 1998 at home.

He was born Sept. 27, 1921 to Earnest Paul and Mathilda Meeh Herman in Holladay, Utah. He married Elsie Winnard Jan. 4, 1942 in Salt Lake City. He served in World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.He is survived by sons and daughters: harold Roy (Jane), Erivine Ray (Ann), Danny (Kathy), Joy (Ron) Heck, Mary Lou (Eugene) Haynie, Elsie his beloved wife, preceded him in death March 9, 1996; also his parents; sisters, Ella, Julia; and brother, Ervin. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Fuenral service will be Monday, Sept. 21, 1998 11 a.m. at the South Cottonwood 16th Ward, 5235 So. Wesley Road (1090 East). Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. and Monday one hour prior to service at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
