LEHI -- Thanksgiving Point is asking the city to amend its general plan's land-use map on an area not yet included in the city.
Some of Thanksgiving Point's property lies on the west side of the Jordan River and not within Lehi boundaries. Before Lehi can annex that property, it must change its general plan to reflect the use of the land. The company is also asking Lehi to amend the land-use classification for 11.33 of their acres from medium density residential to planned community and another 101 acres from low-density residential to planned community.
That would allow pave the way for Thanksgiving Point to use those two areas for a commercial use such as a business park or other things, said Lehi associate planner Frankie Christofferson.
