Lois L. Fournier, 74, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed quietly on Sun., Jan. 17, 1999.

She was born July 21, 1924 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Harold and Almina (Robbins) Lambourne. She graduated from East High School in 1941. Lois attended college for two years.Married to her attentive and loving husband, Rene H. Fournier, May 11, 1942. They shared 56 years as partners and helpmates. During World War II, she entered the U.S. Navy, enlisting on January 31, 1944, serving until October 19, 1945. Lois attended "Boot Camp" at Bronx, New York and instrument school in Chicago. She was stationed at N.A.S. Norman, Oklahoma, as an aircraft instrument technician. She and Rene lived in Salt Lake after the war until 1994, when they re-located to Oceanside, CA.

She is survived by three daughters, Diedra (Dee) Dutton, Orem, UT; Mimi Fournier and

Andrea (Missy) Matson, both of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A beloved son, Jacques Fournier, and special son-in-law, Reed Matson, preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, Salt Lake, Jan. 30, 1999, 12 p.m.

Donations may be made to the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
