EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Sebastien Bordeleau scored with 2:17 left in overtime and Mike Dunham had 27 saves in his return to New Jersey, leading the Nashville Predators to a 3-2 victory over the Devils on Saturday.

The expansion Predators won their first overtime game.PENGUINS 5, BRUINS 2: At Pittsburgh, Alexei Kovalev scored twice and assisted on Kevin Hatcher's third-period tiebreaking goal as Pittsburgh beat Boston.

The Penguins have won consecutive games after losing five of six.

HURRICANES 3, CANADIENS 1: At Montreal, Arturs Irbe made 44 saves and Robert Kron scored twice, as Carolina won despite managing only 10 shots.

Paul Coffey also scored for the Hurricanes.

SABRES 4, KINGS 1: At Buffalo, N.Y., Los Angeles forward Donald Audette mixed it up with Buffalo goaltender Dominik Hasek and then scored on his former teammates, but the Sabres cooled the Kings with four third-period goals.

Michael Peca scored twice and Brian Holzinger and Alexei Zhitnik also had goals.

FLYERS 6, LIGHTNING 2: At Philadelphia, John LeClair scored his NHL-leading 30th and 31st goals as Philadelphia beat Tampa Bay.

Rod Brind'Amour scored twice and extended the NHL's longest current consecutive games streak to 449 despite badly bruised ribs.

STARS 5, PANTHERS 2: At Sunrise, Fla., Tony Hrkac scored two unassisted goals to lift Dallas over the Florida Panthers for the Stars' third straight victory.

Brett Hull scored his 19th goal, giving him a goal in each of his last five games and at least a point in his last seven (5-4-9).

RANGERS 3, RED WINGS 2: At Detroit, Niklas Sundstrom scored with 4:42 remaining and Mike Richter made 38 saves as the New York Rangers beat the Detroit Red Wings, their first victory in Joe Louis Arena in nearly seven years.

Sandstrom put home the rebound of a shot from Petr Nedved to break a 2-2 tie.

MAPLE LEAFS 5, CAPITALS 3: At Toronto, Steve Sullivan, Garry Valk and Sergei Berezin scored in a 2:36 span in the second period and the Toronto Maple Leafs held off the Washington Capitals.

The Capitals' rally in the third period fell short and they lost their fourth straight game.

SENATORS 9, ISLANDERS 2: At Kanata, Ontario, Alexei Yashin scored his 21st and 22nd goals and added an assist as Ottawa set a club record for goals in a game.

The nine goals topped the modern-era Senators' previous record of seven goals in a game.

OILERS 1, MIGHTY DUCKS 0: At Edmonton, Mikhail Shtalenkov made 22 saves and Janne Niinimaa scored early in the third period as Edmonton beat Anaheim.

Shtalnekov's third shutout of the year came against his former team.

AVALANCHE 5, SHARKS 0: At Denver, sizzling Joe Sakic scored two goals in a game for the third time in his last five games as Colorado beat San Jose.

Goaltender Patrick Roy recorded his 45th career shutout.

FLAMES 4, BLUES 3: At Calgary, Alberta, Jeff Shantz scored at 3:21 of OT as Calgary beat St. Louis.

Theoren Fleury took a long pass from Derek Morris and flipped the puck ahead to Shantz, who beat goaltender Rich Parent.

CANUCKS 3, BLACKHAWS 2: At Vancouver, British Columbia, Markus Naslund scored the go-ahead goal with 8:45 left as the Vancouver won their first game under coach Marc Crawford.

Crawford took over following Mike Keenan's dismissal last weekend.
