In defense of the Orem Council members who have not been given credit for the good work that has been done for the neighborhoods and the community itself, let it be known not one council member can work alone; it has to be with the consent of all before a project can be passed and presented to the mayor. Therefore they all should be credited for work well done.

The letters to the editor I have read regarding taxpayers' money have been very impressive and informative. It's unfortunate that any of the council members are capable of abusing the system in large or small amounts of taxpayer money; a ripoff is a ripoff, large or small, no matter how you look at it. Taking unnecessary trips, going to unnecessary meetings that are not being recorded with a written or typed report as how such trip or meeting benefit the council in making wise decisions to problem issues or what improvements that were learned to create a better environment for the community. All these reports would be vital and essential for the council to function at its best and to show the taxpayers how our money is being spent.I truly believe that the names that have come up in the news of the alleged wrongs that have been done to the taxpayers and the petty talk that has gone within the council itself, setting all that aside, if these same council members were to be re-elected (because of the information we have now), they will understand what could happen to them and would do a more energetic job with a renewed desire to not only to serve but keep us, the residents of Orem, more involved and informed as to where our tax money goes.
