Jeff Walker, an attorney for Anderson Development, clarifies comments made in last Sunday's story on Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation, SLAPP, suits. The lawsuit, brought by the developer against South Jordan residents Janalee Tobias, Judy Feld and Brent Foutz, was for interfering with a business contract. A judge has recognized the merits of that case. Gerald Anderson never contemplated filing a lawsuit to prevent them from their rights of free speech. Neither Anderson nor Walker believes there is a proper forum for SLAPP suits.
