The Freezz dropped an important game on the road Saturday night in Sacramento, losing 6-5 to the Knights, meaning they must beat Portland Monday or their playoff hunt will come to a disappointing end.

Sacramento scored 18 seconds into the game when Jorge Fernandez suprised the Utes; the Knights eventually built their lead to 6-3 before Lee Edgerton and Billy Sedgewick scored to make it a one-goal game.Utah could not get the equalizer, though, and dropped even with Portland for the final playoff spot as a result. Portland has three games left and, if the Freezz want to make the playoffs, must lose to Utah and one of their next two.

Utah hosts Portland Monday night at 7 p.m. in the E Center.
