Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and uncle was born July 28, 1913 in Salt Lake City to Phoebus McCarroll and Daniel Hanmer Snarr. He died November 10, 1999, at the age of 86, of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Married Willa Virginia Parkinson, January 26, 1941, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Worked at Utah Oil, Salt Lake Teachers C. U., University of Utah C. U., was active in the Utah C. U. League. Stanley was always ready for an adventure and traveled extensively. He explored Utah, Idaho and Arizona and was vigorous to the end. He loved to spend time with his extended family. He took great pride in the appearance of his yard. He enjoyed sports, fishing and Wheel of Fortune. His car was always clean and gassed, ready for day trips.Survived by wife, Virginia; sons and daughters, Barbara (John) Reid, Sandra (Milt) Winward, Bill (Pat), Ron ( Sy) and Connie (Bill) Smith; 18 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and brother, Lloyd. Preceded in death by grandson, Zach Snarr and brothers and sisters, Ralph, Daniel, Alice, Grover, Wilford, Josephine, George, Erma, Ivy, Vernon, Harriet, Newell, Ray, Etoile, Hanmer, Carroll, Phoebus and Alma.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 1999 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive; where family and friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 12:45-1:45 p.m., prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Rest Haven section.
