Henk Nievaard, age 91, passed away Friday, November 12, 1999 in Murray, Utah .
Henk was born on January 17, 1908, in Amsterdam, Holland to Daniel and Johanna Nievaard.He married Ali Hubert on July 27, 1933, sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Ali died in 1982, after 48 years of marriage. Immigrated to the U.S. in 1950 with his family. In 1984, he married Ina Wykstra, sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Served an LDS Mission to Holland 1985-86. Ina passed away in 1998. Henk loved to travel, read, and enjoyed working on genealogy.
His sons will be forever thankful for the great sacrifice Dad made to bring his family to America to provide them the greater opportunity this country offers.
Survived by his three sons: Ed (Marilyn), Hans (Gerrie), Bob (Lucy) and three step-children; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also a brother, Daniel, and sister, Betsy Van Staveren.
Service will be held at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, on Tuesday, November 16, 11 a.m., where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
