Although the weather has thus far given few indications of it, the holiday season is fast approaching, and commercial enterprises are busily engaged in putting up signs of the season. Whether shoppers heed the message is another matter -- in years past, warm weather has delayed Christmas buying. According to forecasters, however, change is in the air, and cold may yet bring shoppers indoors and pry open wallets. By Wednesday, high temperatures in northern Utah are expected to drop into the 50s and below, and showers are likely.
