He owned and operated a landscaping business and had lived in Brigham City and Salt Lake City.

He was on the ski patrol at Brighton Ski Resort and enjoyed golf, basketball, softball and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Surviving are his mother of Brigham; six brothers, Thomas LaMon (Anna Jean) Simmons Jr. of Jerome, ID; Steven Grant (Julie) Simmons of Brigham, Bruce LeRon (Penny) Simmons of Wellsville, Ricky Dean (Heather) Simmons of St. George, David Ryan Simmons of Salt Lake City; Daniel Nathan Simmons of Brigham; six sisters, Joan Maurine Simmons of Milford, CT; Janet Sylvia Simmons of Salt Lake City, Connie Jeanine (Paul) Schulte of Wichita, KS; JoiAnne (Wayne) Manning of Smithfield, Jean Marie (David) Mayes of Farmville, VA; and JaNae Simmons of Brigham.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Thomas Yates Simmons, Sylvia Ericksen Simmons Gardner, LeGrand (Dick) Jensen and Maurine Jensen.

Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at 10 a.m. at the Box Elder Stake Center, 420 South 800 West, Brigham City. Friends may call Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary in Brigham. There will be a private family viewing prior to services.

Interment will be in the Beaver Dam Cemetery.
