For at least 100 years, the Deseret News has been publishing original Christmas stories, and since 1959 the paper has sponsored a contest that has come to be known as "Christmas I Remember Best."

Entries are now being accepted for 1999.They should be original stories and approximately 800 words in length, or about two typewritten pages, double-spaced.

Judges prefer a variety of stories covering the entire range of the Christmas experience, including humor.

Ideally, stories should be written using a computer and printed out on a laser printer, but handwritten entries will be accepted as well.
