For at least 100 years, the Deseret News has been publishing original Christmas stories, and since 1959 the paper has sponsored a contest that has come to be known as "Christmas I Remember Best."
Entries are now being accepted for 1999.They should be original stories and approximately 800 words in length, or about two typewritten pages, double-spaced.
Judges prefer a variety of stories covering the entire range of the Christmas experience, including humor.

The author's name, address, e-mail and daytime and evening phones must be included.
For each story that is chosen for publication the week prior to Christmas, the Deseret News will provide an honorarium of $100 to the author.
