Clark Powell, Sr. passed away November 13,1999.

He was born May 24, 1911, to Abraham and Violet Ruby Powell. He was the third child of a family of 13 children. he was a nephew of pioneer, Abraham Powell, who built the first cabin in Price. He married Edna Robertson, March 15, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was the love of his life. They worked, played and prayed together.He was active in the LDS Church, served two missions, one was to the Ute Indians. He was very industrious throughout his life. He owned and operated a grocery store on Carbon Avenue, a gas station, a bread distribution business, serving Carbon, Emery and Grand Counties.

He is survived by four children, Clark (Claudette Powell), Huntington; Janet (David) Jones, Seattle, WA; Suellen (Ferrel) Swink, Sandy; Pat (Bonnie) Powell, Sandy; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters and one brother, Theora Holt, Bountiful; Donna (Bob) Mullins, Las Vegas, NV; Howard (Mary Jane) Powell, Salt Lake City.

He was a gentle man, a sweet and caring person and was loved and repected by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Price 11th Ward LDS Chapel. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price or one hour prior to services at the Church. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
