Our beloved mom, grandmother, sister and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father November 15, 1999. She fought a good fight, kept the faith and finished her journey in this life, courageous to the end.
She was born in Salt Lake City on March 1, 1915 to Francis and Foncet Young. She married Cyril J. Kershaw, April 23, 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death June 2, 1984.She served faithfully in may church callings. She quilted hundreds of quilts for the family and friends and crocheted leper bandages for church distribution.
Survivors included daughters, Maxine (Delbert) Barney, Lucille Burgess; sons, C. Jay (Carma) Kershaw, Jr. and Larry Y. (Janis) Kershaw; 21 grandchlidren and 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Douglas K. Young and two sisters, Fay Gough and Marion Romney.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999 in the Nibley Park Ward, 2450 South 600 East, where friends may call from 10:00-11:45 a.m. , prior to services. Interment,
Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Gilcrest section.
