ROY, Ut--Janet Arline Worley, 53, of Roy, formerly of Tremonton, died Sunday, November 14, 1999 at the Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City of cancer.
She was born April 16, 1946 in Ogden, the daughter of Gordon George and Donna Arline Boyce Worley. Janet was reared and educated in the Bear River Valley, graduating from Bear River High School. She received her BS at Weber College and a Masters of Education at USU.She taught the first and second grades at Columbia and Freemont Elementary Schools. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority.
Janet was a member of the West Haven Country Meadow Ward. She served in the past as ward librarian, organist, and CTR and Relief Society teachers.
Surviving are her daughter Jordan KaKoli Makara Worley, whom she adopted from India; her father of Tremonton; one sister, Marsha (Michael) Cook, Kaysville; and one brother, George (Judy) Worley, North Ogden. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 18 November 1999, at 12:00 noon with Bishop Lavier Daley conducting, in the Country Meadows Ward, 3939 West 4000 South, West Haven, Weber County. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 1st East, Tremonton and Thursday at the Church from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
