Harmon's grocery stores will match customers' donations for Thanksgiving turkeys for the needy.
For every $10 "Gift for a Gift" turkey certificate purchased by customers, the grocery chain will match that donation with another turkey. Donations will be accepted through Sunday, Nov. 21.Those who buy certificates may sign donation slips that will be displayed in Harmon's stores. Receipts are available for tax-deductible donations. On Tuesday, Nov. 23, Harmon's and KKAT radio station will deliver the turkeys to Crossroads Urban Center, South Valley Sanctuary, Midvale Family Support Center and the Davis County Shelter.
"We know that our neighbors and friends want to help people who are less fortunate at Thanksgiving, and we are pleased to provide a way to do that," said Bob Harmon, marketing director.
