LONDON (Reuters) -- International auction house Sotheby's Wednesday unveiled a painting by French Impressionist Paul Cezanne, which it said had been unsighted since it was stolen more than 20 years ago.Sotheby's said the late 19th century work, which it described as "one of the most important paintings offered in London this decade," could fetch up to $20 million when it goes to sale next month.

Cezanne painted the oil canvas "Pewter, pitcher and fruit" at the peak of his powers in 1888-90. It was stolen from the Bakwin family in Massachusetts in 1978 and recovered earlier this year by Art Loss Register, a private New York-based organization that maintains its own database of art thefts.
