James L.R. Cahoon, born October 30, 1932 to Lee Roy and Mildred Cahoon in Woods Cross, Utah, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 1999 in Bountiful.

He was born and raised in Woods Cross, Utah. He married Patricia McKay Cook in 1956. Jim joined the United States Marine Corp to serve his country during the Korean Conflict. In 1962, he and his wife, Patricia, moved back to Woods Cross to raise a family. Jim worked for Caribou Refinery for over 30 years as a superintendent. He belonged to the Moose, Scottish Rite, Shriner, and Mason organizations.Survived by his loving wife and their children, Nora Elizabeth, Lee Raymond, Suzann McKay, James Patrick and his wife, Jennie Lynn. Jim was "Grandpa" to Jerimy (Butch), Robbie, Nathan, Sam (Black Wolf), Brittany, Miguel (Grumpy), Mandy, Crissy and Lucy. He is also survived by siblings, Molly Cahoon, Marylyn Mower, Ted Cahoon, Cathey Quinn, Pete Cahoon, and Becky Nielson. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenny. Jim was known by many and loved by all.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
