Eleonore Behnke Bremer, 89, died Nov. 14, 1999 of causes incident to age.
She was born in Kiev, Ukraine, Russia, January 10, 1910. She immigrated to Hamburg, Germany in 1917, during the Bolshevik revolution. She joined the Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) in about 1934.She married Bruno H.A.C. Bremer, October, 1939. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She immigrated to America in 1952, and chose Zion to be her home. Eleonore was active in the L.D.S. Church both in Germany and in Salt Lake City, maintaining her membership in the German Ward. Eleonore was an avid Bible student. She always saw the good in people and never failed to help people in need. Eleonore never forgot her own humble beginnings. Mother will be well received into the bosom of the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno and daughter, Magdalene Barbara Bremer Hansen. Survived by her son, Rolf D. Bremer (Helga), daughter, Rosalinde Heimes Schwemmer (Heinze); eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, November 19, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
