Our loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend, Thomas Livsey Pettersson, passed away Nov. 14, 1999 due to natural causes.

He was born June 4, 1916 in Winter Quarters, Utah to Nicholas Peter Pettersson and Ellen Lydia Livsey. Tom graduated from Carbon High School and attended the College of Eastern Utah and Brigham Young University. He married his sweetheart, Lois Jesse Reeves in the Salt Lake Temple on November 20, 1952.Tom served an LDS mission to the Southern States and was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a bookkeeper for Wirthlin Wholesale Meat and retired after 30 years. In later years he worked as a crossing guard for the Salt Lake School District. He was active in scouting for over 25 years and was awarded the Silver Beehive and completed training in Wood Badge and Order of the Arrow. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings including bishoprics, high council, ward and stake clerk, teacher and as counselor in the high priest group and all the other church organizations. He and his wife did sealings in the Salt Lake Temple for several years. He enjoyed sitting and listening to Big Band music, reading and watching "horse operas" and loved camping and outdoor activities with his family. The most important things in his life were his family and church. His kind, gentle manner will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years; five sons and a daughter, James Pettersson (Laura), Provo, UT; Sharon Merrill (Deloy), St. George, UT; Charles Pettersson (Laurel), Allen, TX; Richard Pettersson (Denise), St. George, UT; Frederick Pettersson (Launi), Centerville, UT; and Alan Pettersson (Barbara), Clearfield, UT; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Pettersson (Leola) of Salt Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 1999 at 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake Riverside Stake Center, 1155 West 500 North. Friends may call Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 So. 200 East, Salt Lake City,

from 6-8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to the service, interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
