Utah State Prison inmate walks away from work crew
Another Utah State Prison inmate walked away from a work crew, this time disappearing early Thursday from a site at 8600 South and 4000 West.James Shults, 37, was reported missing at 7:30 a.m. Friday, said Department of Corrections spokesman Jesse Gallegos.
Shults, serving time for a third-degree felony evading charge and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, was set to be released Jan. 4, 2000. He now faces a second degree felony escape charge that could give him an additional one to 15 years in prison.
Shults is described as 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, with blond hair. He has a dragon tatoo on his chest and two heart tatoos on his right arm. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.
Investigators believe he may be driving a white 1993 Dodge Intrepid with Utah plate 376 ZUD.

Teen attacked and robbed at intersection on 300 North
A 17-year-old boy was struck repeatedly in the face, knocked to the pavement and had his face slammed into the concrete Tuesday by a man who robbed him of his wallet.
A Salt Lake police report said the victim suffered cuts and bruises in the 9:15 p.m. incident, requiring a trip to an area hospital for stitches.
The victim told officers he was walking at 300 North and 700 West when he saw the man at the corner of the intersection.
As he approached, the man stepped in front of him, asked "What's up?" and attacked the boy when he answered.
During the robbery, the victim felt an object pressed against his head while the man was going through his pockets. The man told him it was a gun.
The bandit then pulled the boy to his feet and pushed him in a westward direction, as if he wanted him to walk that way. He did, and sought help at an acquaintance's home.
Police said the victim described his attacker as age 20, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 200 pounds and wearing a black cap and gray sweatshirt. He had on tight black jeans and a white gym shoes.
West Jordan man is charged with having sex with teens
A West Jordan man has been charged with multiple felony counts involving sexual misconduct with minors.
The man, 37, was charged in 3rd District Court Tuesday after police allege he had sexual relations with two teenage boys ages 14 and 16.
On one occasion the man allegedly paid the 16-year-old $8 to film him having sex with the 14-year-old, court documents state.
The charges also say he showed pornographic material to three other boys ages 13, 14 and 15.
Following his arrest, the charges state the suspect told detectives he had destroyed the pornographic videos after speaking to his bishop.
He was charged with three counts of sodomy on a child, a first-degree felony; five counts of dealing harmful material to a minor, a third-degree felony; two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony; forcible sodomy, a first-degree felony; and aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony.
