Art show and sale is today at Prophet Elias Church Hall
An art show and sale to benefit the Saint Sophia School of the Greek Orthodox Church will be held today at 7 p.m. at the Prophet Elias Church Hall, 5335 S. Highland Drive.The entrance donation is $5, and the public is invited.
More than 20 local artists will display their work.
Vesper services are also being held each Saturday evening at the Prophet Elias Church. Services begin at 6 p.m., with a book review club meeting at 5 p.m. The public is invited.
The church will also cook 100 turkeys for the homeless and the needy on Nov. 23 and 24.

Hanukkah celebration begins Dec. 3 at Park City temple
Rabbi Joseph Goldman will lead Sabbath (Shabbat) services Friday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. at Temple Har Shalom, 1922 Prospector Ave., Park City.
The first candle of the Hanukkah will be lit that evening, beginning the eight-night celebration of religious freedom.
A Hanukkah party will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 5 p.m. at 1167 Woodside Ave., Park City.

First Congregational Church, 2150 S. Foothill Drive, will sponsor a Thanksgiving Day Service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 25.
A dinner will follow the service and people should bring a vegetable, salad or other dish to share. A donation of $3 per person is also requested.

Harvest festival is today at Zion Lutheran Church

The Calvary Chapel of Salt Lake City has announced it will be an official collection center for Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child this year.
