HYRUM, UT--Evan Clyde Brown, 90, of Hyrum passed away on November 17, 1999 at his home.
He was born to Hyrum and Ida Nielsen Brown on July 15, 1909 in Avon, Utah. After graduating from high school he married Carmen Bench in Preston, Idaho on August 11, 1928. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church. He was a life long rancher who loved the land. He also worked with livestock trucking. His love of work was passed on to his family. The people he met grew to be life long friends. He fought a good fight and endured to the end.He is survived by two sons, and three daughters. They are Colleen Petersen (Don) of Whitney, ID; E. LeRoy Brown (Elizabeth) of Providence, UT; Carol Johnson (Wendell) of Logan, UT; Jack Brown (Trudy) of Hyrum, UT; Pam Briggs (Brent) of Franklin, ID.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Brown of Logan, UT. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen; a son, Jerry C. Brown; two brothers, Kenneth and Bert Brown; and one sister, Bessie Brown.
Funeral Services will be held on November 22, 1999 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center in Logan, at 2 p.m. with Bishop Michael Richardson conducting. A viewing for family and friends will be at 12 noon prior to the services on Monday. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
