I was talking to a young friend the other day, and he mentioned that he doesn't even have a history book to take home. I was reminded that I have had classes like that.

I was wondering why the average professional basketball player gets paid $1.7 million, and we can't even find enough money to get books for our kids to take home and study. When education is the future of our kids, why can't the Utah Legislature find enough money to ensure that future is as bright as possible?I certainly hope the upcoming Legislature will demonstrate a higher level of concern for providing an appropriate education for me and the other children in this state. It can't be that hard to figure out that our education is more important than a basketball game!
