Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company's production of Arthur Miller's 1955 classic drama, "A View From the Bridge," will be held Thursday and Friday, Dec. 2 and 3 in room 150 of the West Institute building, across the street from the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.
Adult equity auditions are 1 to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 and 4 to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 3. Non-Equity tryouts are 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 and 2 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 3.Children's auditions (9-12 years of age) will be held from 3:30 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2 and 4:30 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 3.
Equity members may sign up for any available time slot if they are unable to make the reserved times. Non-Equity players must check with the stage manager before signing up for an Equity slot.
Gary Gisselman is guest-director. Rehearsals begin Jan. 17 and play dates are Feb. 9-26.
There are roles for men and women, 18 years of age and above, as well as those for children. All roles are open, except that of Alfieri. All auditioners must sign up on the callboard posted outside of room 150.
Adults will be asked to read from the script; children will be cast based on appearance. Specific audition scenes will be posted three days prioir to the auditions. Scripts are also available for 24-hour checkout from the theater. For further information, call PTC's audition hotline at 585-3927.
