We took our family to a wonderful movie playing at the Villa theater. "Same River Twice" is a product by local filmmaker, Scott Featherstone. The movie was given a mediocre review by local "critics," many of whom have become callous to the filth of Hollywood. I don't blame them, for who could watch all that garbage dressed in pretty packaging without becoming desensitized?
This movie will not impress you with any high-tech explosions, murderous plots or steamy adulterous relationships. Instead, you will have to put up with beautiful scenery, lofty thoughts and moral dilemmas resolved through rational and inspiring ways. Thank you, Mr. Featherstone, for trying to lift society instead of degrading it.
