OASIS-Fon Roy Hawley, age 100, died November 20, 1999 in Bountiful, 42 days from living in three centuries.

Born August 31, 1899 in Oasis to Jacob Celly and Victoria Regina Moody Hawley. Married Stella Ann Cahoon, July 23, 1948. Later solemnized in Manti LDS Temple. Married 51 years.Hinckley High School graduate. Attended Brigham Young Academy and Agriculture College in Logan. Served in Army during World War II. Farmer in Oasis. Loved to hunt and fish. Closely followed BYU sports Utah Jazz. Visits of children and grandchildren from Salt Lake to Oasis farm was a highlight. Active in LDS Church, serving in four bishoprics as well as MIA superintendent and scoutmaster.

Survived by wife: Stella; sons and daughter: Robert (Louise) Carling, Dale (Pat) Carling, Marlena (Mark) Lewis; 14 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by four sisters; three brothers.

Funeral services, Wednesday, November 24, 1999, 11 a.m. in Deseret-Oasis Ward. Friends call at Church, 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. Burial Oasis Cemetery.
