MIDVALE--Alice Christine Summerhays Markham, 48, passed away February 17, 1999 in a Murray hospital.

Born May 22, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Melvin L. and Margaret Alice Miller Summerhays. Married Gary L. Markham in Coalville, Utah on July 3, 1986. Chris worked for Univac and National Semiconductor as an assembler. She was a member of the LDS Church. Chris volunteered for four years with the Senior PGA Tour, Nike Tour and the Utah Open. She was actively involved in the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post #112. She loved the outdoors and had a great love for all animals and would lend a helping hand for those in need.Survivors: husband, Gary; parents, Melvin L. and Margaret Summerhays, Midvale; brother, William (Bill) M. Summerhays (Kathy), Salt Lake City; sister, Linda S. Meyers, Sandy; also her cat, Tabbie and her dog, Misty; Special friends, Carol Mills, Scoti Manville and Marsha Ishmao. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Erwin and Lyle C. Miller, and infant daughter, Kellie Summerhays.

The family extends a special thank you to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Cottonwood Hospital.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 20, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Dr. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State on Saturday from 12 Noon to 1 p.m.
