LOGAN, UTAH--Robert Grenfell Hammond, 82, of Logan, died Monday, March 8, 1999 at the Logan Regional Hospital.
He was born February 14, 1917 in Portland, Oregon, a son of William Arthur and Abbie Grenfell Hammond. He married Claire Larsen on July 17, 1943 in San Diego, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.He is survived by his wife, Claire L. Hammond, Logan; two sons and one daughter, Robert G. and Hilda , Costa Mesa, CA; Karyn, Sandy, Utah; William C. and Alaine, West Valley, Utah, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild, two sisters, Jewell Westervelt, Kelso, WA; Shirley Lwengood, Raymond, WA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 noon in the Allen-Hall Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites by American Legion Post #12 and #7.
