ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI BREAKS GROUND TODAY AT OREM SITE
PROVO -- St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church will break ground for a new multipurpose center at 100 E. 500 North in Orem today at 10 a.m. Bishop George Niederauer of the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City will preside over the ceremony. The new center will be the first stage in a large $4 million project that will include a new church for the congregation. The multipurpose center will house educational and social facilities for the parish, which has been located in Provo for more than 100 years.GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH PLANS LENTEN CELEBRATIONS
The Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Salt Lake will celebrate the Adoration of the Holy Cross on Sunday, March 14, at 10 a.m. This celebration of the midpoint of Lenten will take place at two churches: Holy Trinity Cathedral, 279 S. 300 West, and Prophet Elias Church, 5335 S. Highland Drive.

Y2K SEMINAR SESSIONS SET AT CHURCH OF NAZARENE
Learn more about Y2K! The Church of the Nazarene will host a Y2K seminar at 6 p.m. every Sunday in March. Guests will include representatives from Questar Gas, Utah Transit Authority, Salt Lake Public Utilities, and Transportation Specialist Insurance Agency. This is a free, non-religious seminar.

LENTEN ORGAN MEDITATION IS THURSDAY AT S.L. CHURCH
First United Methodist Church, 203 S. 200 East, will continue its Lenten Organ meditation series with a recital by Lane Cheney on Thursday, March 18, at 12:30 p.m. Cheney is director of music and adult choir director at First United Methodist Church. A light luncheon is available for $3 from 11:30 a.m. until the recital begins. The recital is free and the public is invited.
