Auditions have been scheduled for the following regional stage productions:
-- MAME, the musical version of the comedy, "Auntie Mame," on Saturday, March 20, beginning at 9 a.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday, March 23 and 24, at 7 p.m., at the Heritage Theatre, 2505 S. Highway 89, Perry.Come prepared to sing 16 bars of an upbeat song. There will also be cold readings from the script. Bring your own accompanist or a cassette tape and player.
There are roles for 15 to 25 men and women, ranging from 18 to 75 years of age. Lead roles include Mame Dennis, an alto, about 40; Vera Charles, a lady tenor, 40 or older; young Patrick, about 9, Mame's orphaned nephew, and Agnes Gooch, soprano, a character role.
Performances will be June 11-26. Colette R. Henderson is directing.
-- CINDERELLA, Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical version of the romantic fairy tale, from 6:30 until 9 p.m., March 25 and 26, at West Jordan City Hall, 8000 S. Redwood Road.
All roles are open for men and women, 16 years of age and older. Come prepared to sing 16 bars of an upbeat, Broadway-style tune. An accompanist will be provided (no tape-recorded accompaniment, please). Callbacks will be Saturday, March 27, from 9 a.m. until noon.
Rosalie Richards is directing, with Margene Conde as choreographer. Performances will be June 18-25.
