SHARE Obituary: Sherman Glenn Andrew

Our wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother and friend, Sherman Glenn Andrew, 50, of Orem, was reunited with loved ones in heaven on Wednesday, March 10, 1999, due to an automobile accident.

Sherm was born July 10, 1948, in Provo, Utah to Glenn and Ruby Andrew. He graduated from Orem High School and Seminary. He attended BYU and graduated from Sales Training Institute. He was sealed to Susan Young in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and they have three daughters and one son, Suzette (John) Hill, Stefnie (Jason) Beck, Shelley Andrew, Shane Andrew and four little "muggins", Brayden, Samantha and Savannah Hill and Bailey Beck, all of Orem.Sherm's zest for life led to many great adventures. He was a dedicated member of the LDS Church. His testimony was the foundation upon which he based his life. He served as Elder's Quorum President, in many bishoprics, as Scout Master and Young Men's President. He was a dedicated home teacher and the Master of many ceremonies. He was PTA President at Timpanogos Elementary in Provo and was a Boy Scout leader for seven years.

Sherm was the "World's Greatest Salesman!" He worked for F.G. Ferre & Sons Auto Parts, Geneva Steel, Sales Training Institute, National Chemsearch (14 years) and Columbia Steel Castings (13 years), all of which he made a better place for having worked there.

The things he enjoyed most were being together with his family, taking his sweetheart on dinner dates and playing with his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, his pets, four-wheeling, camping, hunting, fishing, boating, cruising by land or by sea, all activities with his young men, and supporting his children's sporting events and other activities. He was a master storyteller and jokester and was known as Ebenezer Magillicutty by countless restaurant hosts and hostesses.

He loves his family: Glenn and Mary Deane Andrew, Provo; Doug and Sharee Andrew, Salt Lake; LaDeane and Ray Edwards, Provo; Glenda and Gary Shumway, Orem; Diana and Duane Thornton, Pleasant Grove; Patrice and Michael Ringger, Bothell, WA; Ruby Young, Provo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Hoggan Andrew and his father-in-law, Reo Young.

Thank you, Sherm, for touching each of our lives, leaving us with many special memories and a legacy of love. We love you and wish you the best on this new adventure.
