The gentle, loving, giving spirit of Theresa Irene Cory Schelin returned to Heaven on March 19, 1999 amidst a chorus of joyful angels who descended to Earth to reclaim one of their own.
This beautiful angel was born to Calvin and Mildred Cory on January 31, 1936 in Artesian, South Dakota. She married the love of her life, Robert Schelin, on Valentine's Day in 1953. Six beautiful children were blessed and privileged to be born to them. Numerous other "children" have also adopted Bob and Terry as "parents". Bob and Terry spent their lives loving each other and their family. Although she will be deeply missed and we are saddened by her death from cancer, we rejoice in her reunion with her son, Bobby, her granddaughter, Debra, her father and two brothers.Terry is survived by her dedicated, loving husband; her mother; her sister, Virginia; two daughters: Debbie (Kent) Mair and Kathie (Craig) Hedin; three sons: Mike (Anita) Schelin, Mark (Shauna) Schelin, and Steve (Julie) Schelin; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will take place on March 23, 1999 at 10 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where we will share our favorite stories about this remarkable angel who lived among us. Family and friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. on March 22 and one hour before the services on Tuesday. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
