WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Ralph Intranuovo scored the winning goal 6:37 into the second period, and the Manitoba Moose held off a late rally to defeat the Utah Grizzlies 5-4 on Sunday.

The game-winner was Intranuovo's second goal of the game, and it gave the Moose (39-20-10) a 5-1 lead. Scott Thomas also scored twice, and Chris Bowen started the second period with a goal seven seconds into the period, the fastest goal in franchise history.Brett Hauer assisted on two Manitoba goals to break the franchise record for points by a defenseman in a single season with 63.

John Byce scored two of Utah's (31-30-8) last three goals, both with assists from Rob Bonneau and Brad Lauer. Dave Archibald also contributed to the Grizzlies' late rally, scoring at :17 of the third period.

Winning goalie Richard Shulmistra faced 33 shots and made 29 saves. Utah's Jimmy Waite stopped 25 of 30.
