SALINA, Sevier County -- One of the best investments people can make in their future is to educate and empower themselves with financial information.
Toward that end, a workshop titled "Take Charge of Your Money" will be sponsored in Salina Thursday, March 25, by the Utah State University Extension Services, the American Association of Retired Persons and the Salina Senior Citizens. The session is designed to empower men and women of all ages to make informed decisions about their finances.The workshop will be at 1 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center, 330 W. Main. A side advantage will be the availability of earning college credit for an additional cost over the regular fee of $10.
Topics to be discussed will be Getting Organized, How Does Your Cash Flow, Banking and Credit, Managing Your Risks, Investing for Retirement and Where and How to get Professional Help. For more information call Ann Parkinson at the USU Extension Service office 896-9262, ext. 271.
