Charles (Buddy) Gourley, 65, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Eureka, Utah March 20, 1999.

Born October 25, 1933, in Eureka, Utah, to LeRoy (Babe) and Erma Broderick Gourley. He married his high school sweetheart, Carol Baum, June 7, 1952, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1973. They lived in Tooele for over 30 years, retiring from Dugway.He was a great basketball player in high school. He loved hunting, fishing, and watching all sports on TV. He was a high priest in the Eureka LDS Ward and was serving as executive secretary and a temple worker.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, a son, Danny, both of Eureka; two daughters, Gwen Skoglund and Shauna (Dennis) Frazer, Apache Junction, Arizona; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, Roy (Mary Lou) Gourley, and a sister, Brenda (John) Sutherland, both of Eureka; father-in-law, Wilbert (Gay) Baum. Preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Jeff, and his parents.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at 11 a.m. in the Eureka, Utah LDS Ward chapel. Friends may call at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, Midway City Cemetery.
