OREM -- A 5-year-old Orem boy is in Primary Children's Medical Center in stable condition Tuesday morning after being struck by a truck Monday night.
Brayden McArthur ran out from between parked cars at 221 S. 925 West and was struck by a truck driven by Heath Kunz, 22, Lehi, said Orem Police Lt. Bob Conner.Kunz heard a thump and saw the boy on the road behind his vehicle. He was driving about 20 mph in a 25 mph zone, Conner said.
Two sisters who live near the scene responded and administered life-saving measures to the boy as well as helping to calm the distraught driver, Conner said. McArthur suffered head injuries and was transported to Orem Community Hospital and later flown to the Primary Children's Medical Center.
