Wasatch Constructors says it will not repeat a Tuesday morning construction exercise that periodically blocked vehicles from getting onto northbound I-15 at 10600 South.
The work began at 7 a.m. Traffic was backed all the way to State Street at times during the morning commute as flaggers occasionally stopped traffic to allow trucks onto and off the work site."We noticed there was a concern and are working to address it," Wasatch spokesman Michael Mower said late Tuesday morning.
Mower said Wasatch plans to delay the start of the hauling project Wednesday and Thursday morning, perhaps as late as 9 a.m. The work should be completed by Thursday, he said.
"We regret when it is an inconvenience to motorists, but we have a lot of work to accomplish in that area," Mower said.
Wasatch is rebuilding 17 miles of I-15 in the Salt Lake Valley.
