KAYSVILLE -- The City Council has approved a $100,367 contract to add curb, gutter and sidewalk along portions of Mutton Hollow Road in anticipation of the the new elementary school that should open there this fall.

Morgan Asphalt submitted the lowest of eight other bids to make the improvements to the south side of the road in two different sections.Reduced school busing by the Davis School District a few years ago means most students living on Mutton Hollow Road will have to walk to the new school -- as yet unnamed, but located near Fairfield Junior High.
