DOWNTOWN ALLIANCE TO HONOR SALT LAKE FIRMS

The Downtown Alliance will recognize area businesses for their efforts during the past year at the Seventh Annual Downtown Achievement Awards Breakfast to be held in May. The Awards Nomination Committee is now accepting nominations for businesses that have made a difference to the business community.Awards will be presented in the following categories: Arts, Media, Special Events, Civic and Economic Development, Restoration/Beautification, Urban Innovation/ Design and Individual Achievement.

Projects or businesses nominated must be located between the following boundaries: North Temple to 400 West, 400 West to 200 South, 200 South to Rio Grande, Rio Grande to 400 South, 400 South to 200 East to North Temple.

CORPORATIONS DIVISION CUTS OFF PHONE REQUESTS

Requesting documents from the Utah Division of Corporations or accessing the Commerical Code repository by telephone will no longer be an option for those customers using that service. A new division policy specifies that requests for both certified and uncertified copies and other information from the division can only be made by mail, fax, e-mail, or in person.

The policy change went into effect Monday.

The division will accept requests for uncertified UCC copies by mail at: 160 E. 300 South, Box 146705 Salt Lake City, UT 84114-6705; via fax at: 801-530-6438; by e-mail at orders@br.state.ut.us; or in person at the division offices at 160 E. 300 South, 2nd floor, Salt Lake City. Generally, requests for information from the division will take 10working days to process and deliver.

SPRING TEA THURSDAY FOR WOMEN REALTORS

The Utah State Women's Council of Realtors will pay homage to past state and local chapter leaders at their annual Spring Tea on Thursday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at the Oakridge Country Club, 1492 W. Shepard Lane in Farmington.
