Harry F. Nowaskey Sr., age 77, passed away March 22, 1999 at home.

He was born April 12, 1921 in Everson, Pennsylvania to Charles and Johanna Nowaskey. He married Kathleen in Santa Monica, CA. He was born into a large Polish family. He had a fairly normal childhood, graduated from Windber High School in 1938. He joined the Marines in 1942 and met the love of his life at a dance on the pier in Santa Monica in 1943. They married six weeks later and were inseparable until her death last summer. He loved to tell stories of events in his past that helped shape events of the future. He loved all sports and participated in many; semi-pro baseball, bowling, golf (his hole in one) and fishing just to name a few. The most important things in his life were his wife, his family and the love of God. We will miss his crooked smile and the twinkle in his eyes, but he is now reunited with his love where he needs to be. We Love You Dad.Harry is survived by his daughters; Candace and Mary, sons; Harry (Betty), Jim, John (Diana), and Tom (Maggie). He is also survived by his brother; Jim (Joan) and 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen.
