Anthony Medved, 76, of Mapleton, UT, died March 22, 1999.
He was born to Jacob and Mary (Strakey) Medved, May 7, 1922 in Carbon County, UT. He married Ada Brown in 1942 in Evanston, UT. Tony enjoyed farming, carpentry, and working with his hands. He served in the Army during World War II, in Europe. Tony retired from US Steel after 32 years of service at Geneva.Tony was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Annette; his wife, Ada Brown Medved; and a grandson, Samson Medved. He is survived by three daughters: Carol (Jerre) Bentley, Greely, CO; Debi (Greg) Carlisle, Orem; Cherri Cunningham, American Fork; one son: John (Jamie Oviatt), Medved, Orem.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 25, 1999 at 2 p.m. in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel, 211 East 200 South, Springville, UT. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Mortuary or one hour prior to the services in the Chapel. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery.
