Brands familiar to today's generation had begun to show up in News ads by the 1920s. Levi Strauss overalls offered "More days wear for your dollar" and followed up with the promise of "a new pair free if they rip." Right, a brief notice indicated that it was a new era, new bird. While seagulls were credited with saving pioneer crops years earlier, it was the turkey who came to the rescue in this instance.
